Your orb, in a few steps.

Buy through your preferred channel, then use the installer and license key delivered with your purchase.

System requirements

Check these specifications before buying or downloading Orby.

Windows
Windows 11, 64 bit (x64), recommended.
Processor
A Windows 11 compatible 64 bit Intel or AMD processor.
GPU
Windows 11 compatible integrated or dedicated graphics: DirectX 12 or later, with a WDDM 2.0 or later driver.
RAM
8 GB system RAM recommended.
Storage
At least 1 GB free for installation, plus space for your saved files and future updates. The current app payload is about 366 MiB.

These recommended PC specifications follow Windows 11 compatibility.

The installer’s technical floor is Windows 10 build 19041+, x64; current .NET support on Windows 10 is limited to eligible Enterprise/LTSC releases. No native ARM version. macOS, Linux, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 are unsupported.

Internet and runtime: Internet is required for initial activation and periodic license checks. Weather and connected tools need provider access. The MSI includes its .NET desktop runtime.

Supported media players, AI tools and optional integrations can have their own requirements. See Microsoft’s current .NET Windows support guidance.

The MSI includes the required .NET runtime. The installer is currently unsigned, so Windows may display an unknown publisher warning. Only use the download provided with your purchase or linked by official Orby support; do not disable Windows protection to install an unverified file.

Install and activate

  1. Open your purchase receipt. Dodo website purchases include the Windows app download and a license key. Gumroad buyers can select View content for the installer and key.
  2. Run the MSI installer. Finish setup and open OrbNook from Start.
  3. Choose the correct provider. Select Dodo for a website purchase or Gumroad for a Gumroad purchase, then enter that purchase’s license key.
  4. Make it yours. In Settings, choose your appearance, font, accent and orb size. Click the orb to expand; hover expansion is optional.

Already installed?

Updates currently use a replacement MSI; there is no automatic updater for direct editions. Keep the latest receipt or purchase content link. Uninstalling and reinstalling can preserve your local notes, settings and valid activation on the same Windows profile.

Three active PCs

Use Settings → Manage License to deactivate an old PC before moving its slot. If you cannot access the old PC, contact support with your order number. Keep your key private.

Release limitations

Direct editions exclude Windows notification mirroring. Media and connected services vary by provider and PC.
